It’s fall and football and HomeGrown Festival time!! Locavorious is excited to be taking part in Ann Arbor’s HomeGrown Festival again this Saturday, September 10 from 6-10 pm.
The HomeGrown Festival is a grassroots community event showcasing our area’s locally grown food, drink, music and fun. It takes place at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market in lovely Kerrytown district of Ann Arbor. This free event includes a homebrew competition, garlic tasting, tomato tasting, restaurant chefs preparing dishes with locally sourced ingredients, local bands, and kiddie-centric activities too.
Locavorious will be offering free samples of our frozen blueberries – stop by and taste just how great our locally grown frozen fruits and veggies are year-round. We also have been preparing some special frozen treats from our locally sourced produce for HomeGrown festival goers: A-Maizing GoBlueberry Pops!
You’ll also have the chance to sign up for a Locavorious winter share so you can eat local and delicious even after the harvest winds down and the weather turns cold. Not only are our fruits and vegetables packed with flavor, but a Locavorious share will allow you to (literally) enjoy the fruits of our labor. We make it easy to eat locally year-round!
Be sure to stop by and celebrate everything local food and drink producers have reaped this year.
