CSA Fair - Sunday March 22 at the Washtenaw Food Hub

The third annual CSA matching fair sponsored by Slow Food Huron Valley will take place on Sunday, March 22 from 1 – 4 pm, at the Washtenaw Food Hub, 4175 Whitmore Lake Road, Ann Arbor.  At this free event you can talk directly to the farmers and prepared food producers about their CSA programs (Community Supported Agriculture).  In our area there is a diverse array of locally grown food available and with that, a diversity of CSA (or “share”) programs – fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, eggs, prepared meals, garlic, and of course locally grown frozen fruits and vegetables to keep you going through the winter!

Locavorious will be at the CSA Fair, where you can sign up for our new Spring shares, and get an early-bird discount on a winter-time share for next year.

The fair includes some new vendors this year, including 2 local seed companies who will entice us with seeds tested in this specific area.  After all it is finally spring and time to start seeds!   If you have not been to the Washtenaw Food Hub, it is easy to get to and this is a chance to see what it is all about, as tours of the facility and grounds will be happening as well.
